Be Charmed by the Cotswolds

Once the heart of the wool industry and the back bone of the country’s economy, there is much to explore in Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds.

Where there was wool there was wealth and it was the rich wool merchants of medieval England that built the fine towns and villages of the Cotswolds.  There are many picturesque places to choose from for a visit, all built from the creamy stone typical of the region.

Romanesque architecture, tombs of kings and princes, intricate brasses and stained glass windows showing golfers and flying monks are to be found in the magnificent Cathedrals, abbeys and wool churches.

Visit Berkeley Castle or Sudeley for tales of murder most foul and betrayal, or take a stroll round Regency Cheltenham to see the fine architecture of the 1800s and hear about mad Kings, colonels, curries, artic explorers and rock stars. Or last but not least gaze on one of the glorious gardens of Gloucestershire.

Cheryl’s tours are informative and entertaining.  Her walking tours will fill the streets with life and she will take great professional care of you, making your visit one to remember.
